"Fiscal Peace, in force within May" - Minister Malaj: We will come up with the bylaws very soon

"The "Fiscal Peace" Law will begin to be implemented within May." The statement was made by the Minister of Finance, Petrit Malaj, after a government meeting, who also explained the work that is currently being done.
"We are approaching the final phase and will soon come up with the sub-legal acts regarding Fiscal Peace and the cancellation of obligations. We have discussed and negotiated with internationals on the sub-legal acts, we will come up with the acts very soon, within May we will have closed the respective processes."
"Fiscal Peace" will be an agreement between the Tax Administration and businesses generated with the help of Artificial Intelligence, which avoids tax audits, improves the business climate, but on the other hand guarantees the collection of tax liabilities. The goal of this package is a fairer and more transparent taxation for businesses.
According to the government, this package will be used to combat informality in the economy, especially in sectors such as tourism, where this phenomenon is even higher.
“Fiscal Peace” has three main components. The first is the agreed tax on profit. The second component is the review of financial statements and the third is the forgiveness of tax liabilities and interest on arrears. Under this package, businesses will be exempted from tax control during the agreement period. Businesses will be given the opportunity to pay the full liability, in order to benefit from the forgiveness of fines and interest on arrears.
The government meeting ratified the agreement with Poland on social security, which guarantees the recognition and unification of insurance periods, so that citizens of both countries do not lose a single year of work and benefit from old-age pension according to the legal age.
