However, during the second quarter of the year, the largest number of passengers passed through Saranda, almost 178 thousand. On the other hand, the Port of Saranda is the one that has experienced the largest increase in the number of passengers, with a change of 14.1% compared to the first half of last year.
In terms of transported goods and their volume, the Port of Durrës continues to account for the largest share of turnover. During the second quarter of 2025 alone, 93.6% of goods loaded and unloaded by sea, or 2,063 thousand tons, were transported. Meanwhile, for the first half of the year, a total of 3,848 thousand tons of goods were transported. A high volume of transported goods also belongs to other mineral products, as well as coke and refined petroleum products.
