How many Albanian children were born in the United Kingdom? We are one of the 10 countries with immigrant parents with the highest birth rate

The United Kingdom has been one of the most coveted destinations for immigrants in Europe for years, including Albanian citizens. This trend has led many Albanians to try emigrating to this country, especially after the pandemic period, when the movement of Albanians to the United Kingdom experienced a significant increase.
Data from the United Kingdom's Office for National Statistics shows that since 2020, Albania has maintained a high birth rate from immigrant parents, ranking as one of the 10 countries with the highest birth rate. Specifically, from 2021 to 2024, around 14,000 children were born to Albanian mothers in the United Kingdom. In 2023, the peak was reached with 3,891 births to Albanian mothers, placing Albania in 7th place for that year.
When we examine the data for Albanian fathers, the number of children born is even higher, around 15,800, reflecting the fact that emigration is mainly driven by men. Some of these births result from marriages with Albanian or foreign citizens, representing a common way to obtain citizenship benefits. Trends for births by Albanian fathers show that 2024 marked the highest number with 4,399 births.
According to statistics, the highest birth rates in the UK come from India and Pakistan, accounting for 4.6% and 3.8% of births in the country respectively. By 2024, the European countries with the highest birth rates in the UK are Poland and Romania, reflecting a high presence of immigrants from these countries.
This data clearly shows not only the increase in Albanian and international immigration to the United Kingdom, but also its impact on the demographic structure and fertility trends, making Albania one of the 10 countries with immigrant parents with the highest fertility rates in this country.
