The Board reduces the price of fuels - Diesel by 10 lek, to 196 lek/liter. Gasoline by 4 lek, to 180 lek/liter.

The Transparency Board decided at its next meeting the new ceiling prices for the trading of petroleum by-products, which will come into effect on Thursday at 12:00.
According to the decision, the retail price for SSH EN 590 standard diesel will be no more than 196 lek/liter, while the wholesale price will be no more than 184 lek/liter, reducing the price by 10 lek/liter.
Meanwhile, for gasoline, the retail price ceiling has been set at 180 lek/liter and 168 lek/liter in wholesale, reducing the price by 4 lek/liter and reflecting fluctuations in international markets and the exchange rate.
Authorities announce that the new prices will remain in effect until the next meeting, where they will be reviewed depending on market developments.
Also, the obligation for all retail and wholesale operators to implement the decision has been emphasized.
In case of violations, suspension of activity is announced for entities that do not respect the set prices.
In an official clarification, the Board emphasizes that, referring to Normative Act No. 1, dated April 3, 2026, the excise duty level remains at 100%, as the prices set are below the established thresholds of 220 lek/liter for diesel and 200 lek/liter for gasoline.
Responsible institutions, including line ministries, continue their commitment to protecting consumers and ensuring fair competition in the fuel market.
