Ibrahimaj: A package of 9 laws for the harmonization of Albanian business with the EU will be approved within July

The Minister of Economy and Innovation, Delina Ibrahimaj, announced that the Council of Ministers has approved three new draft laws related to the European integration process and the approximation of Albanian legislation with European Union standards in the field of commercial companies.
In a statement to the media after the government meeting, Ibrahimaj explained that the initiatives are part of Chapter 6 of the negotiations with the EU, which deals with company law, and aim to create a legal framework harmonized with the European acquis.
According to the minister, the government is preparing a package of nine laws, which is expected to be finalized within July. These changes will create opportunities and conditions equal to those of European Union member states for Albanian commercial companies.
One of the approved draft laws defines for the first time the legal framework for the statute of European companies, while the other two regulate the functioning of European cooperative societies and economic groupings of European interest.
Ibrahimaj stressed that the draft laws will be submitted to the Assembly for review during July, while the rest of the legal package is ready and awaits final approval from the European Union institutions before being submitted to Parliament.
According to her, the package will facilitate the cooperation of Albanian businesses with European companies, create opportunities for participation in joint projects and ensure equal treatment for Albanian commercial companies in accordance with EU legislation.
