Reconstruction of the Kombinat - Ndroq - Plepa road / ARRSH opens the tender for 4.35 km, also planned for lot 2 worth 1.18 billion lek
The Albanian Road Authority has opened the tender procedure for the reconstruction of lot 3 of the Kombinat - Ndroq - Plepa road, continuing the phased implementation of one of the alternative axes connecting Tirana with the southern areas of the country.
According to the tender documents, the limit fund for this procedure is around 1.36 billion lek, while the segment has a length of around 4.35 km.
In parallel, the ARA has also foreseen the opening of the procedure for lot 2 of the same axis, with a planned fund of around 1.18 billion lek, continuing the division of the project into several implementation phases.
Meanwhile, for lot 1 of the Kombinat - Ndroq - Plepa road, the works contract was signed in September 2024. Its implementer is the merger of the operators "Arifaj" and "Eurokos Holding", with a contract value of 567.75 million lek, excluding VAT.
The Kombinat – Ndroq – Plepa road is considered an important connecting axis between Tirana and the south of the country, serving as an alternative to the Tirana – Durrës highway. According to the technical documentation, the segment crosses an area with high residential density and has suffered significant damage over the years, also affecting the reduction of traffic flow.
The intervention aims to improve traffic conditions and increase road safety on this road. In total, the Kombinat – Ndroq – Plepa axis has a length of about 28 kilometers.
