The government approves changes for the "Selman Stërmasi" stadium and pension indexation
The Media and Information Agency announced the decisions taken at the meeting of the Council of Ministers, held on April 24, 2026.
The Government approved several additions and amendments to Decision No. 769, dated 13.12.2024, relating to the transfer of state properties to the Albanian Investment Corporation, for the implementation of the investment project "Revitalization of the 'Selman Stërmasi' Stadium" in Tirana.
Also, the indexation of the estimated base for 2024 with a coefficient of 6.4% was decided, in accordance with the law on social security, which is expected to affect the updating of benefits for citizens.
In the context of economic development, the government declared several areas in the municipalities of Kamzë, Kurbin, Dropull and Selenica as "Priority Areas for the Development of the Mountain Economy".
Meanwhile, the Council of Ministers also approved a series of expropriations for public interest, affecting private properties in several major municipalities of the country, in order to implement important projects.
