Albania among the economies with the highest growth in Europe - IMF: Performance

The Albanian economy is expected to grow by an average of 3.19% per year during the period 2027–2031. According to the IMF projection, Albania is included in the group of economies with high growth rates. Albania's economic performance remains significantly above the average forecast for the eurozone and the European Union.

According to the latest Economic Outlook of the International Monetary Fund, Europe's largest economies are expected to face slower growth rates. According to the International Monetary Fund's projections, the European economy is expected to experience a period of moderate growth rates during the remaining years of this decade.

For the period 2027–2031, the eurozone economy is projected to expand by an average of 1.2% per year, while that of the European Union by around 1.4%, significantly below the global average pace of 3.2%.

Several smaller economies on the continent are expected to perform more dynamically. Malta leads the list with an average annual growth of 3.96%, closely followed by Kosovo at 3.95%. Ukraine ranks third, with an expected rate of 3.78%, supported mainly by investments related to the country's post-war reconstruction.

Meanwhile, Serbia is also expected to record steady growth, around 3.52% per year, driven by major public projects and preparations for organizing Expo 2027.
