What are Albanians downloading the most on their mobile phones? Weather and photo apps are leading. Temu is gaining popularity again
Smartphone apps have become an integral part of everyday life. From communication and entertainment, to online shopping, navigation and artificial intelligence, Albanian users are spending more and more time on apps that make their daily activities easier. But which were the most downloaded apps during this period and what do they reveal about users' preferences?
According to data published by Appfigures, there is a clear difference between iPhone and Android users. For iPhone users, the most downloaded app is Retro – Photos with Friends, a platform that focuses on sharing and editing photos with friends. The fact that this app tops the rankings shows the growing interest in visual content and photo-based social networks.
In second place is Temu, the well-known e-commerce platform that continues to attract consumers with competitive offers and prices. Meanwhile, the third position is held by Google Gemini, showing that interest in artificial intelligence is growing significantly in Albania as well. In fourth place is ChatGPT, another application based on artificial intelligence, which continues to remain among the most preferred for information, content creation and assistance in work or studies.
The list of most downloaded apps on iPhone is also complemented by well-known apps such as Google Maps, Wolt, Threads, Google and CapCut, showing that Apple device users remain oriented towards productivity, communication and content creation.
On the other hand, the ranking of Android users is somewhat different. At the top of the list is Temu, confirming the great popularity that the online shopping platform has gained in the Albanian market. Following it is Nice Weather, a weather application that seems to have benefited from the high temperatures and the increased interest of citizens in meteorological forecasts.
Wolt holds the third place, while ChatGPT ranks fourth, showing that artificial intelligence is gaining ground among Android users. The list of most downloaded apps also includes Cloak – Fast Private Browser, Arrows – Puzzle Escape, TikTok, Photo Recovery – File Recovery, Snapchat and TikTok Lite.
