"Farmers in Myzeqe have built their lives on the land and hard work" - Balluku: Myzeqe remains one of the most important agricultural areas

The political leader of the Socialist Party of Fier district and MP Belinda Balluku said during a meeting with farmers in Krutje, Lushnja, that thanks to the work of farmers, but also to the support of government subsidies, investments have increased.
At the meeting, which was also attended by Prime Minister Edi Rama, Minister of Agriculture and Rural Development, Andis Salla, and Minister of Finance, Petrit Malaj, Balluku said that Myzeqeja remains one of the most important agricultural areas in Albania, where residents have built their lives on the land and hard work, while benefiting from the government's continued support in the last 12 years.
"We chose this farm because it is an example of successful cooperation. Two farmers, with different experiences in life, such as Erion Bufasi and Afrim Çela, have decided to join forces and further develop their agricultural activity. Erion started with only 2 acres of land and today has reached 30 acres or about 3 hectares. Together with Afrim, they manage an area of 5 hectares, building a sustainable enterprise" - said Balluku.
Balluku stated that farmers have benefited from support schemes and subsidies over the years.
"They have been part of support schemes and have built their activity on these programs. Only this year they have applied for biological protection, one of the most important schemes, which is supported with 70% of funds from the government," Balluku added.
