Task Force meets for the 2026 tourist season - Gonxha: 24/7 coordination and

With an ever-increasing influx of tourists, this year's season requires a higher efficiency of all troops on the ground. The Inter-Institutional Task Force has officially launched the action plan to address in a timely manner the problems that arise mainly in coastal areas and those with high residential growth. According to Minister Blendi Gonxhja, this mechanism will increase the speed of response and logistical and human control.

"We gathered today in implementation of the Prime Minister's order for the Inter-Institutional Task Force for the summer season, to address in a much more coordinated manner all the issues, work plans, all the measures we need to take, in order to have the best possible progress of the season, but also to have a higher efficiency of all troops, of all institutions in the field, of all our logistical but also human capacities, so that we can be as close as possible to the community" , said Minister Gonxhja.

The main challenges for this year remain the safety of vessels at sea, strict control of noise pollution, waste cleanup, and mobility management at border crossings and key destinations.

The ministry announces that monitoring will be carried out in real time, requiring full readiness from all municipalities and line institutions to guarantee basic services without interruption.

"The main goal of the Task Force is to have a monitoring mechanism and a reporting mechanism where we can have a kind of control of all measures... so that all emergencies and problems can be followed step by step, so that we can have a faster solution, a stronger reaction, of course, in most of those cases or phenomena that concern us year after year, we can have zero tolerance. To be 24 hours a day, 7 days a week, in sync, all together as one body", said the minister.

While food security and health emergencies will be covered by dedicated seasonal points, the goal of this coordination remains clear: consolidating Albania as a safe tourist destination with high European standards by 2026.
