New mechanism for financing public projects - Government approves new scheme for financing from gambling funds
The Minister of Tourism, Culture and Sports, Blendi Gonxhja, through a post on social networks, said that another concrete step has been taken to strengthen funding in the field of art, culture and sports, through the creation of new support mechanisms for projects of public interest.
The Council of Ministers has approved the rules for the establishment and functioning of the Project Support Council at the Gambling Supervisory Authority, a new mechanism, which will finance numerous initiatives of public interest, as a direct dividend in support of creative, cultural, social and sports projects, promoting innovation and increasing youth engagement.
According to the Minister of Tourism, Culture and Sports, Blendi Gonxhja, the initiative foresees more direct funding from sources outside the budget ceilings, as well as increased attention to the creative economy, tourism and internationalization. It also emphasizes the importance of transparent policies and practices in decision-making.
This new financial instrument is expected to create more opportunities for the development of sustainable ideas and activities in the community, fostering innovation and youth engagement.
Minister Gonxha cites this as further evidence of the building of a new supportive ecosystem for art, culture and sports, where talent and projects with public impact will receive the necessary support.
