Modernization of the Albanian Commercial Register/ NCC strengthens cooperation with InfoCamere in Italy

The General Director of the National Business Center, Mr. Etugert Llazi, as well as other leaders from the National Business Center and the Ministry of Economy and Innovation, conducted an official working visit to Padua, Italy, at InfoCamere, the institution that administers the Italian system of commercial registry and digital services for business. The visit was conducted within the framework of inter-institutional cooperation and support provided by the Italian side for the modernization of the technological infrastructure of the National Business Center.
During the workshop organized at the InfoCamere premises, representatives of the Central Bureau of Statistics and Italian experts discussed the implementation of a modern, advanced registration and reporting system based on the international XBRL standard, integration with existing systems, as well as the data migration process towards the new platform.
A special focus was given to the compliance of the new system with European Union directives, the protection of personal data and ensuring transparency in the functioning of the commercial register. The interconnection with the BRIS system, which aims at the interoperability of the Albanian register with European business registers, was also discussed.
The Albanian delegation was closely acquainted with the Italian model of a fully digital registry, the use of electronic identification and electronic signature, as well as with the cybersecurity standards and management of InfoCamere's technological infrastructure. As part of the visit, a tour of the Italian institution's Data Center was also held, where the technological capacities and operational organization to guarantee the continuity of services were presented.
At the end of the meeting, the parties discussed the next steps for the Albanian Commercial Registry reform project, including the governance model, participating institutions and the implementation phases of the new system. This cooperation is expected to directly contribute to improving services to businesses, increasing efficiency and further harmonizing the Albanian Commercial Registry with European standards of digitalization and transparency.
