The government approves the pension agreement with Poland - Three more laws related to the financial system are amended

The social security agreement with Poland and changes to financial legislation were among the decisions approved at the government meeting.
The Minister of Economy and Innovation, Delina Ibrahimaj, announced that the agreement with Poland, which aims to protect the rights of citizens who have worked in both countries, has been approved in principle.
"The Ministry of Economy and Innovation passed a draft decision, it is the approval in principle of the social security agreement with Poland. It brings the number of agreements signed by the Republic of Albania to 17, where together with the agreement we are signing with Slovenia, there are 11 agreements that have been signed with EU countries. I would like to remind you that it is a policy that has been initiated and intensified by the Albanian government, as it is essential in the protection of labor rights."
Meanwhile, the government also approved several amendments to three laws that regulate the country's financial system. The amendments affect the payment system and services, as well as the law on banks.
"We have proposed several amendments to three laws related to the financial system in Albania. Specifically, we have proposed amendments to the Payment System Law, the Payment Settlement Law, and several amendments to the Law on Banks in the Republic of Albania. They aim not only to modernize the current financial system in Albania, but are also in the function of approximating our entire legal framework and fully harmonizing it with EU directives."
