Kosovo approves loan agreement for economic development - Financing for the financial sector, energy and regional trade

The Kosovo Assembly has today approved all international agreements on the agenda, giving the green light to several important financial draft laws.
With 81 votes in favor and no opposition or abstentions, the deputies voted on the Draft Law on the ratification of the loan agreement between the Republic of Kosovo and the French Development Agency. This agreement is related to a loan program based on development policies.
Meanwhile, with 90 votes in favor, the Assembly also approved the Draft Law on the ratification of the loan agreement between Kosovo, represented by the Ministry of Finance, and the International Development Association. This financing aims to support the project for the development of the financial sector in the country.
Also, with 88 votes in favor, with no votes against or abstentions, another loan agreement with the same international association was approved. This agreement relates to the project "Trade and Transport Facilitation in the Western Balkans 2.0", which aims to improve the movement of goods and develop regional infrastructure.
Finally, with 90 votes in favor, the deputies also approved the Draft Law on a loan agreement with the German institution KfW. This financing is focused on the energy and climate sector, supporting policies related to sustainable development and energy transition in Kosovo.
All of these draft laws were approved without a single vote against, reflecting a broad political consensus on the importance of these agreements in the country's economic development.
