DPSHTRR and Task Force, in the field - Vehicles without taxes or technical inspection are identified

DPSHTRR, in collaboration with the Road Transport Task Force and the State Police, has launched a coordinated control plan throughout the country during the months of July-August.
The focus will be on vehicles that are circulating with unfulfilled obligations, such as annual taxes, technical inspections or other shortcomings in documentation. The task force stopped on the Tirana-Durres highway this Tuesday, where dozens of vehicles were verified in real time through the Intelligent tool for non-fulfillment of obligations.
"The Road Transport Task Force, in cooperation with the General Directorate of Road Transport Services (GDRTS) and the State Police, has launched the implementation of a coordinated action plan throughout the country during the months of July-August, with a focus on identifying vehicles circulating with unfulfilled obligations.
"The checks will be carried out on the main road axes, where through the use of the Task Force's intelligent vehicle, real-time identification of moving vehicles and verification of their status will be carried out, identifying cases of non-payment of the annual tax, failure to perform technical inspections, as well as other deficiencies in the vehicle documentation, in accordance with the legislation in force," said Totri.
Erald Totri from DPSHTRR states that the goal of this action is to raise awareness and not to punish drivers.
"This initiative aims, above all, to increase the awareness of drivers of the importance of timely fulfillment of legal obligations. Payment of the annual tax and carrying out technical inspections are not only legal obligations, but also important elements that contribute to road safety, correct vehicle management and the provision of a better quality service to citizens."
"The summer period is characterized by an increased flow of vehicle movement throughout the country. For this reason, the Task Force, DPSHTRR and the State Police have planned coordinated checks on the axes with the highest traffic, with the aim of informing and sensitizing as many citizens as possible to fulfill their obligations ," said Totri.
The DPSHTRR calls on drivers to verify and pay their legal obligations on time, to avoid penalties and ensure safer traffic.
