The fight against criminal networks enters a new phase - Germany increases support for the State Police

Strengthening the partnership in the fight against organized crime and increasing support for Albanian investigative structures were at the center of a meeting held between the leaders of the State Police and a delegation from the German Federal Criminal Office.
The German delegation, led by Gregor Erb, was received at the General Directorate of the State Police by the Director General, Skënder Hita.
During the talks, the parties discussed the expansion of operational cooperation and the coordination of projects that the BKA is supporting in Albania, especially in order to strengthen the capacities of the Criminal Police and the Institute of Scientific Police. Another important topic was the harmonization of joint programs with European Union initiatives implemented in the region in the field of security and law enforcement.
Director Hita appreciated the continued support of German partners, emphasizing that the challenges related to international crime require close cooperation between law enforcement agencies and continuous exchange of information. According to him, the meeting creates premises for identifying new priorities and expanding cooperation in other areas of common interest.
He also reconfirmed the commitment of the State Police to further strengthen relations with the BKA and other German security institutions, with the aim of increasing effectiveness in the fight against international criminal networks.
For his part, Gregor Erb expressed the readiness of the German authorities to continue supporting the State Police through joint programs, professional training and modern equipment. According to him, these initiatives will contribute to increasing the professional capacities of investigative structures and scientific police laboratories in Albania.
