Sejko to students: Embrace artificial intelligence, but don't let it replace you

The Governor of the Bank of Albania, Gent Sejko, called on the graduating students of the European University of Tirana to embrace artificial intelligence and digital transformation, emphasizing that technology should serve to increase their skills and productivity, not to replace them.
At the graduation ceremony, Sejko praised the students' achievements and encouraged them to build their careers with courage, integrity, and dedication.
"Today's institutions and job markets require professionals who know how to analyze data, use technology, understand artificial intelligence, manage cyber risks, and make decisions based on advanced analytics. The banks of the future will not only be financial institutions, but also technological institutions," said Sejko.
The Governor emphasized that young people are entering the labor market in a period of great transformations, driven by artificial intelligence and digitalization.
"You are entering the job market at an extraordinary moment. Artificial intelligence and the digitalization of life and work processes are driving a revolution in all dimensions of our lives. We only know that we must not be left behind," he said.
Sejko invited students to use new technologies as a tool for professional development.
“I invite you to embrace this revolution, but be careful not to get lost in it. Don't let it replace you, push you to get lost in the mediocrity of routine and the short-term comfort of laziness. Instead, use artificial intelligence, digitalization and every new technology that will be introduced, to increase productivity, amplify your values and your original voice,” he declared.
Speaking about the role of the Bank of Albania, Sejko said that the institution is looking for professionals who combine economic knowledge with analytical and technological skills, while inviting students to apply for internships, vacant positions and for the "Governor's Award for the Best Diploma" competition, which supports students of economics, finance, management and business administration programs.
