Albanians pay 39 million euros for property revaluation - Malaj: Figures for

In just two months, the state budget has collected around 3.9 billion lek from the real estate revaluation process, since the implementation began in March. This progress has been described as positive by the Minister of Finance, Petrit Malaj, who stressed that expectations by the end of the year are very high.

"The revenues generated in just 2 months from the revaluation process reach 3.9 billion lek or (40 million euros), which proves the high interest of citizens in this process, while also contributing to the increase in budget revenues. Therefore, taking into account the fact that in the last revaluation process, in 2022, the collected revenues were 5.6 billion lek, we predict that the revenues from this item, at the end of the revaluation process, will be even higher."

The Minister also focused on the process of compensating farmers with 10%, emphasizing that so far there are approximately 6.5 million euros to be reimbursed.

"There is an increase in the number of invoices issued by collectors or processors and so far the potential amount for compensation to farmers reaches around 6-6.5 million euros."

Regarding the overall performance of the economy, the Minister emphasized that in addition to the significant increase in tax and customs revenues, business turnover has also increased by 133 billion lek or 1.4 billion euros more than the same period a year ago. The growth is supported by three sectors, services, construction and trade.
