Five finalist projects present the vision for the New Campus of the

Prime Minister Edi Rama participated in the presentation of the five finalist projects of the International Competition for the construction of the New Campus of the "Aleksandër Moisiu" University in Durrës, an initiative that aims to transform the university into a modern center of education, scientific research and innovation.

41 Albanian and foreign teams participated in the international competition, while five architectural studios were selected in the final phase, which presented their concepts for the new university campus.

Also present at the event were the Minister of Education, Mirela Kumbaro, the Mayor of Durrës, Emiriana Sako, and the Rector of "Aleksandër Moisiu" University, Shkëlqim Fortuzi.

In his speech, Rector Fortuzi described this moment as an important stage in the university's transformation process, emphasizing that the new campus will create a contemporary environment where education, scientific research, entrepreneurship, innovation, culture and student life will develop in an integrated manner.

The project aims to establish a modern campus that will serve not only as an academic space, but also as a center of knowledge and innovation, strengthening the links between the university, scientific research and the entrepreneurial sector.

The five finalist teams of the competition are:

· Bjarke Ingels Group (BIG) in collaboration with Kristo Krisiko, Architevo Design Collective, Embrace IDEAS, Rider Levett Bucknall, HSC Studio and Ergys Çaushi

· FRPO Rodriguez & Oriol, Porras & La Casta Arquitectos, Studio B&L, Agim Seranaj and Adrian Paci

· OZ, iRI shpk, Felixx Landscape Architects & Planners, Studio Sabine Marcelis and BUROMILAN Milan Ingegneria

· Practica, Studio Rebus and Studio de Peisaj Ana Horhat.
