Over 1 thousand applications for “Grant 2026” - Interest in startups and innovation grows throughout Albania

The "Grant 2026" program has registered over 1,000 applications from all regions of the country, reflecting the growing interest in innovative entrepreneurship and the expansion of the startup ecosystem beyond Tirana.
According to data published by the Media and Information Agency (MIA), applications demonstrate a growing commitment by young people, innovators and entrepreneurs to developing ideas with the potential to become successful businesses.
Tirana continues to remain the main center of startups, with 924 applications, while interest in the program is increasingly spreading to other regions of the country.
After the capital, Shkodra ranks with 88 applications, followed by Durrës with 63, Vlora with 30, Fier with 22, Elbasan and Korça with 18 each, Gjirokastra with 16, Berat with 13, Lezha and Kukës with 10 each, while Dibra counts 7 applications.
The "Grant 2026" program aims to support startups with development potential, as well as innovative and technological projects, promoting the creation of new businesses and strengthening a modern, competitive and innovation-based economy.
The figures confirm the growing interest in innovative entrepreneurship, the expansion of the startup ecosystem across the country, as well as the creation of more opportunities for young people and new businesses.
The program aims to transform innovative ideas into success stories, contributing to the country's economic development and strengthening the culture of innovation in Albania.
