From “Doctor Google” to AI - How does technology impact healthcare? Dika: Challenging
From "Doctor Google", where citizens often reached the wrong diagnosis by referring to information on the internet, the approach has now changed and Artificial Intelligence has played a huge impact on this.
Doctor Qamil Dika also shows the differences between these two elements offered by technology, in different periods of time and with different mechanisms, however, he emphasizes that they do not replace the role of the doctor.
"It is challenging for the medical community and very helpful in terms of patients, who for any problem seek an opinion from their Artificial Intelligence platform and when they see that there is a certain problem, then they turn to a specialist," says Dika.
However, Dika raises another element, which has to do with the wrong diagnoses that can often come from doctors and citizens today can easily verify whether the diagnosis or medications are correct.
Even doctors themselves are increasingly using the tools offered by Artificial Intelligence, whether as a consultation, but also implemented in various medical devices.
