Rama: The opposition speaks against the country in Brussels, negotiations continue according to the calendar

Prime Minister Edi Rama, also chairman of the Socialist Party, stated today that in no other case has it happened during the negotiation process with the European Union that the opposition has spoken against its own country in Brussels.
At the Socialist Party Assembly in Lushnja, Rama reiterated that the European integration process has not been blocked, as claimed by the opposition.
"The entire space of the pots was filled with statements that 'the negotiations were blocked, this job is over, we missed the train to Europe, we lost the chance, we burned it'. It has neither been hindered nor blocked," said Rama.
The Prime Minister emphasized that this process is proceeding according to the plan agreed with the EC.
"It is a calendar that the EC has put before us. Meanwhile, during the campaign they said that they lied to get votes and now they say the calendar was broken. Negotiations continue and even for this phase that will be closed in the future, when it closes it will happen like with the Peace Board. As has always happened, 'lie as much as you can and to whomever you can'", said Rama.
But the prime minister stressed that "it is important not to lose focus because of all this noise."
"Let's not lose the sense of the historical responsibility we have to make Albania's membership in the EU a reality. It is the first time that fate smiles on Albanians and Albania, because it is the first time that all the 'greats' who want us to realize a historical dream are with us and they want us with them. We started from the bottom and now we are at the forefront of the process, together with Montenegro," said Rama.
The Prime Minister emphasized that all new countries that have joined the EU have had internal political wars.
"Anyone who follows the region knows that Macedonia, which was not yet part of the North at that time, was in a major political war and on the verge of civil war, but you didn't expect the North Macedonian opposition to come to Brussels and leave nothing unsaid to block Macedonia. Montenegro has problems with ethnic harmony, but you didn't expect the Montenegrin opposition to go to Brussels to speak the blackest things possible," Rama added.
According to him, only the opposition here does this.
"They think they're going to beat us here, by going to Brussels and barking. They think they're going to put us down and raise themselves up. The more they do this, the deeper they'll sink," Rama said.
