Rama presents the program for businesses: Financial support and assistance for integration into the EU market

Prime Minister Edi Rama presented today the national program for preparing businesses for integration into the European Union, emphasizing that the government will particularly support small and medium-sized enterprises to adapt to the standards and requirements of the European market.
Rama announced that the program will be implemented with the support of the United Nations Development Program (UNDP), which will engage experts to assist Albanian businesses in the process of preparing for the country's membership in the European Union.
According to him, the government aims to increase support for entrepreneurship, considering it the main engine of economic development, job creation and increased welfare.
In this context, Rama announced that in the coming days the "Double Your Business" program will be launched, which will offer a sovereign guarantee and a financing portfolio for businesses that aim to expand their activity, raise standards and prepare for competition in the common European market.
The Prime Minister emphasized that small and medium-sized enterprises that have feasible projects, but lack financing, will have the opportunity to benefit from loans with favorable terms through the Bank of Albania's financing line and cooperation with second-tier banks.
He added that the government is ready to expand the financing fund if demand is higher than initial forecasts, guaranteeing that no convincing project with a credible business plan will be left without support.
Rama also underlined that the program will not be limited to financing, but will also offer professional assistance in drafting business plans and preparing applications, with the aim of facilitating enterprises' access to financing schemes and increasing their competitiveness in the European market.
