3.6 billion ALL in 3 years for students with disabilities – KLSH: Prepared strategies do not meet the necessary conditions

Incomplete strategies and the lack of services, especially in the peripheral areas, are some of the problems pointed out by the state’s KLSH in terms of the investments that the Ministry of Education has made for children with disabilities in recent years. The president of the Association of Parents of Children with Autism, Eglantina Bajrami, says that only after 3 years has it become possible to arrange an assistant teacher who still does not offer the right qualities.
Although KLSH has a budget from year to year, it emphasizes that the level of funding is still not sufficient. According to KLSH, the lack of complete contemporary policies and legal acts, the lack of work plans, and the definition of objectives for the realization and fulfillment of the training needs of this category in the framework of the comprehensive and special education system have been observed emphasizing shortages in relation to the provision of didactic tools.
Investments for students with disabilities:
2019 – 1.05 BILLION
2020 – 1.17 BILLION ALL
2021 – 1.40 BILLION
