The Central Election Commission website costs $9.5 million! Actions are taken to ensure security before local elections
Five months before the local elections, the Central Election Commission has decided to invest on their official website by adding security measures through “hosting” services. This service is expected to be more expensive than a normal site price.
For this purpose, the CEC has announced a tender with a fund of $9.5 million for hosting and protection from attacks of the main website of the CEC and some of its portal pages. This web hosting service will be offered for a period of 24 months for the website of the Central Election Commission.
CEC would perform the migration of the existing infrastructure from the existing data center to a data center with other features in order to increase the quality and security capacities of the systems in use. The infrastructure must provide sufficient resources.
Server-specific services will include audio and video streaming capabilities, direct Internet connections, server installation and configuration, and adequate physical and environmental protection of the servers.
